The Willson Press (spelled with two L's) was founded and operated in the mid-20th Century in Phelps by the late Norman Willson. It was later purchased by Roger Chapin and moved to his home north of Savannah. In 1968, Chapin moved the business to Seneca Falls associating it with The Seneca Falls-Waterloo Reveille. After he purchased Vanderbrook Press in Newark, he divided the Willson Press business between the two printing companies, leaving the local portion and it's thermography aspects as a subsidiary of The Reveille.

In 1993, Reveille publisher Howard Van Kirk sold the Willson Press to the Ricci family of Seneca Falls. The Riccis have operated it since that time as Wilson Press (only one L). Initially the business remained in it's old home, the historic Fornese Building on Lower Fall Street. In 1998 it relocated to the former Pennysaver building at 56 Miller Street, having purchased the Seneca Falls Printing business from the Chubb family. Today the Wilson Press continues to grow and is one of the largest printing companies and mail houses in the Finger Lakes.
